About ClimateMan

I DID SEVERAL HIGH LEVEL EXPERIMENTATIONS in SUSTAINABILITY
and SKY IS REALLY THE LIMIT

Don't think you can't do it
JUST DO IT !
TEST !!
TRY !!
I am a frenchman, white,  catholic, living in Dublin since 2007...expert in climate action..in my mid 50s...

TRY my GPT personal assistants for:
CIRCULAR ECONOMY
CLIMATE CRISIS
CARBON REMOVAL

  • I had a carbon excess "weight" to lose so I decided on a diet and continuing because it is comfortable
  • Even my low consumption was still in excess!!
  • And so I DECIDED a DECARBONISATION DIET
  • And I'm very happy with it :)
  • I slashed my household expense by 85% ! from €2000 a month to €300 ! (right three hundreds)
  • 80% of my income is donated to TRUSTABLE educational charities
  • I built my own Warm Passive house in 2008.
  • Try it now!
Why did i tried?

What did I found?

Challenging the effectiveness of the United Nations or other experts in addressing climate change is akin to dismissing their capabilities as mere "hot air generators." Contrary to the notion that climate change is an insurmountable, wicked problem, we believe that we can indeed achieve a smooth transition to a sustainable future. ("A wicked problem is a social or cultural problem that's difficult or impossible to solve because of its complex and interconnected nature.") Such skepticism does not hold true!

Demonstrating that United Nations or other experts are : HOT AIR MAKERS and NOT EFFECTIVE !
We can achieve climate shift in a smooth way and its not a wicked problem which of course can't be solved! ("A wicked problem is a social or cultural problem that's difficult or impossible to solve because of its complex and interconnected nature")
THATS NOT TRUE FOR CLIMATE CRISIS!
The characterization of wicked problems as lacking clarity in their objectives and viable solutions, while being hindered by real-world constraints, is misleading. We are not lacking genuine guidance and expertise, but rather, we need strong and competent leaders who can navigate these challenges effectively. Dismissing this as mere or weakness is not an accurate representation of the situation.
WE ARE LACKING OF REAL LEADERS NOT FAKE or WEAK ONES!

MINIMALISM IS SUPER CONFORTABLE!!!!
try it..
it's good for all!:)

REAL ACTIONS = Phase 1

me
 NO CAR
just bikes

No punctions anymore only solid rubber tyres (life long ones for 20€ each! )

NO FLIGHTS
only once a year maximum

and I balance my carbon footprint 2-3 tons a flight with real reliable carbon credit not fake ones!
I flew only twice in 7  years!

NO POWER!!!!
during the last 7 years

Just 4 gas cylinders pa. for cooking and hot water in summer and solid fuel (wood in a woodstove (boiler) for winter and a passive warm home :)

2€ a day for food!!!!
Yes €2 /per day

Reduced prices from Tesco or Liddl and i lost 5 kg :)
I SUGGEST LAUNCHING A CHALLENGE the 2-3€/day FOOD CHALLENGE!

More Carbon Savings = Phase 2

To add more let's think how to 'Add items'
HALF TISSUES! HALF KITCHEN PAPER!

Just cut tissues in half  before use!
+Just buy pre-cut kitchen rolls ! (or cut half when using!)

NO NEW ITEMS/CLOTHES

Only second hand clothes and computers/smartphones! and trust me mine are much better than yours :)

NO TOILET PAPER!

Just water and soap like billions people in Asia and Africa !
IT's MUCH MORE CONFORTABLE THAN PAPER!

WATER : 2 min showers and +Washing machine once a month only!

A shower every 2 days and I turn off the water when I use shampoo or soap!
When things are rarer you appreciate them every time!

3 tonnes CO2 excess pa.

How to compensate 3 tonnes CO2 excess pa.?

A low carbon footprint lifestyle in West Europe around 2 to 3 tonnes pa. is ultimately livable probably more for a single person but...
It is more likely that a lifestyle of 5 to 6 tonnes of carbon per year is suitable for most people and therefore we must compensate our 2 to 3 tonnes of annual surplus with real sustainable carbon credits:
namely the planting of bamboo (60 tonnes per ha pa.) or paulownia (100 tonnes per ha pa.) for either 166sqm/tonne (1800 sqft/tonne) or 100sqm/tonne (1100 sqft/tonne) and thus offsetting cost is between €1000 to €1500 pa. for 3 tonnes CO2 excess or
- biochar in quantities of 1 tonne which sequestrate 3 tonnes of CO2 and cost between €210 to €550/ton to produce, deliver, and spread on fields per (spread on the ground).
- Another solution is CIRCULAR ECONOMY, sending reusable furniture and stuff to emerging countries such as 1/3 of a container (3 tonnes pa.) and save 4-5 carbon tonnes this way, and save ressources overshoot €900 to €1100 pa.

YES I DID ALSO :
but 1-2 CO2 tonnes pa. lifestyle will hardly be a west European solution, possible but not confortable!

Passive house I built in 2007

I had a carbon excess "weight" to lose so I decided on a diet and continuing because it is comfortable
Even consumption was in excess!!
And so it’s a DECARBONISATION DIET
And I'm very happy with it :)
